17. Jailer to give notice of death of prisoner

Upon the death of a prisoner, the Jailer shall give immediate notice thereof to the Superintendent and the Medical Subordinate.

State amendments

Maharashtra.—

Amendment of section 17 of Act IX of 1894.—In section 17 of the principal Act, for the words "Medical Subordinate" the words "Medical Officer" shall be substituted.
