46. Penalty for breach of rules
The State Government may, by rule, provide that the breach of any rules made by it under section 44 [or any regulations made by a Corporation under section 45] [shall be liable to penalty which may extend to five hundred rupees and when the breach is a continuing one with a further penalty not exceeding twenty rupees for every day after the first contravention, during which the breach continues].
