1. Short title, extent and commencement

(1)

This Act may be called the Cinematograph Act, 1952.

(2)

Parts I, II and IV extends to the whole of India * * * and Part III extends to [the Union territories] only.

(3)

This Act shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint:

Ladakh (UT).—Section 1.---In sub-section (3), omit the proviso.
