7C. Assistant electoral registration officers
(1)
[The Election Commission] may appoint one or more persons as assistant electoral registration officers to assist any electoral registration officer in the performance of his functions.
(2)
Every assistant electoral registration officer shall, subject to the control of the electoral registration officer, be competent to perform all or any of the functions of the electoral registration officer.
