17. Academic Council
The Academic Council of the University shall consist of the following persons, namely:—
the Vice-Chancellor shall be the ex officio Chairperson of the Academic Council;
the professors appointed or recognised as such by the University for the purpose of imparting instruction;
three persons to be appointed by the Governing Body from among persons of national or international eminence in the industry or academia having relevance to the objects of the University;
two persons, not being employees of the University, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor, from amongst educationists of repute;
one person with wide experience in policing and internal security on rotation from States and Union territories to be nominated by the Central Government; and
two persons from international universities to be nominated by the Governing Body.
