295. Certain persons deemed to be public servants
The following persons shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of clause (28) of section 2 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (45 of 2023), namely:---
(a)
every surveyor;
(b)
every person appointed under this Act to report information as to marine casualties under Part XI;
(c)
every person authorised under this Act to make any investigation or inquiry and all persons whom he calls to his aid;
(d)
every person directed to make an investigation into an explosion or fire on a vessel;
(e)
every other officer or person appointed under this Act to perform any functions thereunder.
